Frequently Asked Questions About Bhutan Tours

  • Is Bhutan good for tourists?
Bhutan isn't a typical tourist destination. Indeed, unless you're from a small number of countries such as India or Bangladesh, then it's not possible to travel to Bhutan independently, and you can only visit as part of a guided tour. But don't let that put you off, as Bhutan is a wonderful place to explore - if you do visit, it's sure to instantly become one of your favourite destinations.
  • How many days is enough for Bhutan?
It depends how much you want to see and do. If you're limited on time, then you can get a good taster of Bhutan in just five days. However, we recommend at least seven days to make the most of your trip to this remarkable country.
  • What is the best month to visit Bhutan?
The weather in Bhutan is at its driest and brightest during October to December, making these the perfect months to visit. Spring can be rainy, winter can be very cold, and the summer is monsoon season in Bhutan, so it's best to plan your trip between October and December if you can.
  • How much does a trip to Bhutan cost?
Because Bhutan is an exclusive destination, only open to visitors as part of a guided tour, it can be quite an expensive place to visit. You should budget to spend at least $300 per day on your trip.
