TourRadar Cancellation Policy & COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 & Cancellations

Do you have an adventure booked with us? Here's everything you need to know about getting credit towards future travel, our TourRadar Cancellation Policy, and what to do if your plans are affected by COVID-19.

TourRadar's Flexible Booking Options

Here at TourRadar, we want you to book with confidence which is why we've created flexible booking options. If you book an adventure with us and your plans change, you can postpone your travel plans and convert what you paid to credit. Our Peace of Mind Program allows you to...

  • Change dates

You’re not locked in. We understand that things can change, which is why many of our operators allow you to choose a different booking date.
  • Choose a different adventure

Just in case your new dates and your previous adventure no longer work out, we have some operators that will let you choose an alternative trip with them.
  • Receive credit if plans change

If you can’t pick your new dates and adventure at the time of cancellation, some operators will offer you a credit towards a future trip with them.

View Operator Terms & Conditions

It's a good idea to familiarise yourself with your operator's terms and conditions before booking your adventure, which is why our Travel Experts have put together a one-stop-shop for all your cancellation questions.

COVID-19 Safe Travels Guide

New Health & Safety Measures

Many of the destinations and operators you see on TourRadar are now working closely with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) to introduce a specific set of guidelines and measures to keep travelers safe, healthy, and happy on their trips. Stringent hygiene protocols are in place at every part of your journey - from the moment you arrive at your accommodation to the transport you travel on and the attractions you visit - so you can have complete peace of mind on your next adventure.

Operators with Hygiene Measures in Place

Whilst most adventure operators on TourRadar have introduced strict hygiene measures, below is a list of operators who have published their safety protocols online for easy reading. Many operators develop their safety protocols in line with the WTTC's Safe Travel Stamp.

Cancellation & COVID-19 FAQs

Cancellations

  • What is the TourRadar Cancellation Policy?

Our standard cancellation policy can be found in our Terms & Conditions. In general, adventures on TourRadar are run by an operator, in other words, the company running your tour, and each operator has their own individual cancellation policy.

  • How do I cancel my adventure?

The simplest way to cancel your adventure is to contact our Travel Experts via your Booking Conversation Page. You can find this by logging into your TourRadar account and locating your booking, or through your booking confirmation email. Depending on the date of your adventure, fees may apply as per the operators' cancellation policy and the TourRadar Cancellation Policy. Many operators also offer the option to convert your previously booked adventure to Credit for Future Trips.
  • What options do I have to modify my booking?

    YOU HAVE 2 OPTIONS:

Credit for Future Trips (free): You keep your money as a credit to apply to a future trip by the same operator. This is only available for select operators. You can view your eligibility on your Booking Conversation Page via "Modify Booking."

    OR

Cancellation (fees may apply): You can cancel your adventure. Full refunds cannot be guaranteed, and fees may apply as per the Terms & Conditions. Cancellations must be done in writing on your Booking Conversation Page via "Modify Booking."
  • Can the operator make changes to my adventure?

    THERE ARE 2 POSSIBILITIES:

Re-routing: An operator may reroute an itinerary at any time to ensure travelers are safe and that the adventure still runs smoothly. If this applies to you, the operator will be in touch with any changes they may need to make.

    OR

Suspension: Every operator has the right to suspend your upcoming departure if they have any safety concerns. If they do suspend your adventure for any reason, you can expect the operator to be in touch with some alternative options.
  • How do I find out if the amount I paid can be turned into credit?

If your adventure is eligible, we’ll contact you directly via your Booking Conversation Page. We're actively working with our operators to make this option available for more of our travelers. If you have additional questions about whether or not your adventure is eligible for Credit for Future Trips, please contact our Travel Experts via your Booking Conversation Page. The easiest way to access this page is via the link in your booking confirmation email.
  • Do all adventures qualify for the Peace of Mind Program?

Our Peace of Mind Program only applies for adventures from certain operators, some of which are listed above. To check whether or not your adventure offers Peace of Mind, simply scroll down on your tour page to find out. Remember that if you decide to change your plans, the Credit for Future Trips will only be valid for the operator with whom you originally booked, so choose wisely.
  • If I convert to Credit for Future Trips before my final payment is due, what do I get credit for?

If you've only made an initial payment (due when you book your adventure), but you have not made the final payment yet, you'll get credit for the initial payment. You won't be charged the final payment.
  • If I'm paying in installments and I convert to Credit for Future Trips, am I charged future instalments?

If you opted to pay in installments, you'll get credit for the installment payments you have made up until now. You won't be charged any future installment payments.

COVID-19

  • Will I need to wear a face mask when traveling?

Masks may be required depending on local recommendations in the destination you’re visiting and the guidelines set out by the operator you’re traveling with. We recommend that travelers bring their own face masks, as there may not be a guaranteed supply on your adventure.
  • How can I postpone my booking and receive Credit for Future Trips?

Please log in to your account and click on your booking. This will take you to your Booking Conversation Page, where you will see the option to postpone your trip and receive a credit towards a future trip. If you are having difficulties, please give our Travel Experts a call, we're here to help 24/7!
  • How do I find an adventure that offers flexible rebooking options?

Aside from checking if an operator is a part of the Peace of Mind Program, you can now filter for adventures that offer flexible rebooking options. Simply search for a destination or Adventure Style that's right for you and select the "Free Rebooking" filter. At the moment this feature is only available for some TourRadar adventures, but we’re actively working to enable this for more of them!
  • Do I need to take a screening or COVID-19 test?

COVID-19 protocols will vary depending on the company you’re traveling with and the destination you're traveling to. However, it is likely that you will be required to complete a self-screening health form before joining your trip. If a traveler is displaying symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, they will not be permitted to join the trip until deemed fit for travel by a medical professional.
  • How can I check whether a country is open for travel?

You can stay up-to-date on the latest travel restrictions and entry requirements by using our interactive map. Alternatively, we also recommend continuously checking the World Health Organization and Centre for Disease Control and Prevention websites for the latest health and travel advice regarding COVID-19.
  • Is my adventure still going ahead as planned?

If your adventure is canceled by the operator for any reason, we'll notify you as soon as possible by sending you an email. You can also check for messages from both TourRadar and your operator at any time on your Booking Conversation Page.
